Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Dublin)

• 6-month contract
• €400 per day
• Hybrid

What you’ll be doing

• Building, maintaining and supporting servers, storage and networking across on-premises and cloud environments
• Managing virtualisation platforms (VMware and Hyper-V) and cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure and GCP
• Monitoring infrastructure health, capacity and performance to keep availability high
• Planning and delivering patching, upgrades and infrastructure improvements with minimal disruption
• Owning backup, disaster recovery and resilience, including regular recovery testing
• Working with vendors on firewall, VPN and network security upgrades
• Hardening infrastructure and remediating vulnerabilities, working with the security team
• Automating infrastructure tasks with PowerShell

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years in a senior infrastructure or systems administration role
• Strong Windows Server infrastructure experience
• Hands-on experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V
• Solid knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Good networking skills (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs)
• Experience designing and running backup and disaster recovery
• PowerShell scripting for automation
• Nice to have: Microsoft Server or Azure certifications, Docker/Kubernetes, and infrastructure monitoring tools such as SCOM, Zabbix, Prometheus or Azure Monitor
